Chibi Inosuke - Garage Kit
I've been wanting to try something new in terms of propmaking. Weapons and accessories are fun and all, but it seemed time to take on full characters. Hence, my journey to learn how to do figurines.
Lavos was my first step, but not much different than what I'd done before.
This was modeled entirely in Zbrush. I keyed it for easier casting and assembly. My brother got me a compressor and pressure pot for Christmas in preparation for production of this guy. This additional step was necessary since parts of the master are so small. The pressure pot shrinks the air bubbles in the resin and helps create practically perfect casts.
Inosuke was printed on my brother's Formlab 2 in grey resin, then finished by hand. Molds are ..... My brother walked me through how to make molds for injecting casting that involve a spout and a 'j' curve.
I'm currently working on a video to showcase how the kit is created.
