Drakengard 3 - Zero Leather (thigh and shoulder)
This project started late 2015. I was excited to continue working with leather after completing Neesa and the client agreed in their excitement. Everything began with patterns in 3mm eva foam and were transferred to equally thin veg tanned leather. Again, my boyfriend came through and provided detailed renders and textures so that I could see how everything was layered and where any tooling was required. The figure on the chest piece and the object on the thigh piece were both constructed from layers of Sintra and Apoxie Sculpt, sanded as needed and finished with automotive paints. The black portions of the thigh object were filled with Onyx resin. The chest figure is attached with chicago screws that were embedded in the Sintra and covered in more Apoxie Sculpt.
The leather portions were finished with Meltonian spray paints and sealed with Saddle Lac.
