Lavo Figurine - Chrono Trigger
I just wanted a desk tick.
This started as a sculpting warmup and then became one of my first figurines.
Sculpted in Zbrush, then printed in SLA on a Formlab 2. Hand finished and molded in a variety of silicones. This happened because I had left over that I was trying to use up, then realized that some of the molds that I made didn't stretch enough to allow release of the cast. Those spikes like to hold on.
Final cast come in grey to allow people to finish and paint them, as well as metallic castings that can be displayed as is.
This was also my first mold to practice pressure casting with, since the spikes like to hold onto bubbles. It's been an adventure learning how to cast this one bubble free.
