Chrono Cross - Lynx
The costume I'd always dreamed of doing and waited till I knew I could do justice. Fabric sections were made from altered patterns. 21 yards of gold bias tape used overall. The chest was sculpted in oil clay, then molded with plaster. The final was cast from black latex. I had my face molded with alginate to assure a perfect fit of the final prosthetic. The face and hands were sculpted in oil clay, molded in plaster and cast with tinted silicone. To achieve a furry look that didn't involve punching each hair, I built a electrostatic flocker. It used static electricity to attract the hand cut fur to the silicone's surface, pointed up. They remained in this position because of a thin wash of silicone I had applied to act as glue.
